There is now a proof of concept but the installer is not totally finished yet,
Problem is that we do not want to include copyrighted material from the original homebrew creators and Twilight hack (the hack needed for running homebrew) in the new release. So we have to find a solution for that.

We noticed that our first Wii Homebrew Installer which was released on 4 september still gives people some problems. The new installer will make it ultra noob friendly to install the homebrew channel and run Homebrew games!!! It handles all steps from selecting your current version to making the hack ready for SD card and ready to install on the Wii.

Since this is more of a development blog, a NEW site special dedicated to the new Installer will be launched!

Plans are to have the installer and new site ready in February,

For those we purchased PDF’s and thought you were buying a program, ask for a refund!

The development of the new installer has started! I will go into detail later about how it will work and how it will give less chance for scamm sites to sell. The release date will be set to this month. It will be so much better than the original which has been released 4 months! ago!

We’ve discussed how to handle with scamm sites, exploiting the homebrew scene and the developers. Now that more bogus sites pops up, luckely new measures are being taken so that we will get more people to run homebrew without losing them first to scammers.

We are now aware that there are at least 50 scamm sites hosting either copyrighted material, redistributing the Twilight Hack or Homebrewchannel or other software for running homebrew on the wii.

We will warn people about this in a new video soon. Recommending not to buy anything at such bogus site, since you will only get a crappy manual in a wrong way for not respecting the original authors/developers.

- Meanwhile we continue looking into the development of the New and official Easy Installer targeted to directly affect scammers their businesses and respect the work of the hard working developers in the scene.

We will update the blog later with more info on how we exactly will stand up against these sites.

The Homebreware site claims to provide software to - surprise - do everything that Wii homebrew applications currently do. I encourage you to read the site for yourself. I actually went ahead and bought it to have proof of what’s going on. What’s in the box? There is none. Their product is entirely delivered online, and includes two parts: a PDF guide and a software bundle. They also have an affiliate program which seems to be pretty active.
